Da Vinci Pools takes pride in defining new construction standards for pools and decks.
Da Vinci Pools are built to maintain their aesthetic beauty and structural integrity for many years. To ensure this, we use the finest materials and known engineering techniques. We encourage all new pool owners to recognize the critical difference in construction methods and materials used when building their pools. This is one of the reasons that custom pools are expensive – excellent materials and a great deal of labor cost. We are happy to educate our clients in the following construction areas:

Gunite

• 7 Sack Shot Crete Mix (4500-6000 Psi) with Fiber Strands added for strength and durability
• Minimum gunite depth of 8" for floors and 12" width for beam

• Minimum 1/2" (No. 4) steel rebar on 9" centers for structurally sound pools
• Double-cage steel on stress areas
• Minimum 3/8" (No. 3) steel rebar on 12" centers for strong deck bases
• Pre-formed angled rebar for more precise structural forming of pool beam and added strength
• Concrete and steel substructures ("cradles") to support cliff-side pools
• Concrete & steel piers/beams where necessary to maintain structural integrity on difficult sites
• Conduit channels placed under decking and in planters for irrigation and electrical access

• Schedule 40 PVC pipe manifolded for effective water flow & smooth negative edges
• Dual safety, floor-based anti-vortex drains for safe and effective circulation
• Pipes and electrical conduit in covered trenches
• Separate suction lines (main drains and skimmers) to equipment
• All gunite intrusions waterplugged
• NeverLube Jandy valves used throughout for precise water control and durability
• Perimeter bonding
• Electrical connection by a Certified Electrician

Masonry & Plaster

• 7 Large selection of stone, tile and decking materials
• Hand-trowled acid-washed quartz aggregate plaster (DiamondBrite or CLI brand) for beautiful long-lasting finish

• Salt-based AquaRite chemical control system
• Polaris or In-floor cleaning systems for worry-free maintenance
• Hayward corrosion-free diatomaceous earth (DE) filters for efficient filtration and easy operation
